And if you were with me tonight,
I'd sing to you just one more time.
A song for a heart so big,
god wouldn't let it live.
May angels lead you in.
Jimmy Eat WorldMaggie Ann Flanagan was born on February 5th, 1982 in the Bronx, New York to Kathleen and Richard. She was the second eldest of four daughters. She grew up on City Island, New York and resided there for most of her life. She went to Saint Mary Star of the Sea School where she graduated Valedictorian in 1996. She graduated from Preston High School in the Bronx in the year 2000. That same year she was involved in a car accident that nearly severed her leg. After a month in the hospital she was back on her feet.
After High School she attended SUNY Purchase College. She had to leave the school because the dorms were not adequately accessible. She was still on crutches at the time. She later attended Westchester Community College and got into their nursing program. She put her schooling on hold for a while after that.
Maggie then moved with her family to upstate, New York in the summer of 2008. Unfortunately she would only live there for five months. Maggie passed away on December 16th, 2008 at 11:32 AM at St. Luke's Hospital in Newburgh, NY. She was 26 years old.
Maggie loved Harley Davidson motorcycles, Butterflies, Irish Culture, Crafts, Jewelry Making, Writing Poetry, and was an advocate for Autism Rights. She aspired to be a nurse. She had a kind heart and a vibrant personality. Those that knew Maggie say that she was full of light and was an inspiration to others. There was never a dull moment when Maggie was around. She lit up the room with her smile and laughter. She will truly be missed.
Maggie is survived by her father Richard; her sisters Kathleen, Maureen, and Lillian; her nephew Brandon; and her niece Kiera. Maggie's mother, Kathleen, passed away two months after Maggie left this world. She will greatly be missed by all who knew her.
