Dear Maggie,

Happy New Year in Heaven! I hope you are doing well and are among those you love. It has been so difficult not having you around. I was hoping that 2009 would be a new beginning for all of us. I only wish that your new beginning didn't have to come with you losing your life. I don't want you to think that the new year is going to mean that your memory will fade. That isn't true. I am doing everything that I can to make sure that your memory stays alive and fresh. Even though you no longer walk this earth, you still live. You're in a different world now, but you are still living. So in a way, you never really die ... You just live elsewhere.

We all miss you so much. Dad is still so broken up over your passing. So is Aunt Jackie and our cousin Katie. I know you loved Katie very much. I know that you always said you saw so much potential in her. You said she was young enough to do whatever she wanted in this world. I know you're watching out for her and Brandon and the rest of us.

I love you Maggie. I always will love you. No amount of time or distance is ever going to change that. I have loved you my entire life, and I will love you for the rest of my life.

Love Always,

Your "Little Sister"

Maureen
